IM

I enjoy the convenience of using IM. I use it with friends and family but I really prefer hearing their voices on the phone. It is quick and convenient especially if we are both online at the same time.
Inconvenient - I have a friend who consistently wants to IM when I am at work. She knows my hours and always wants to chat when I am at work. I just have to ignore her and it makes her mad. But she never uses her computer at night when I am at home and use mine. Too bad!!
I would probably not use it for reference in our library because we are so small and we are not always at a computer and it would be faster for someone to call

catching up

Aargh!!! Who would ever think it is so hard to keep up with these rather short assignments. I am already two weeks behind. I intended to do these every Monday but, unfortunately, some things have come up where I have had to miss work the last two Mondays and now I am playing catchup. Maybe it will get better, but I don't think so.

7 1/2 habits

I feel very strongly that viewing problems as challenges is perhaps my best habit. It always has been. It is what has hellped our library achieve the things we have managed to achieve. The one I would have to say would be my hardest is Teach/mentor others. I don't like teaching and I'm not good at it. Of course, one might argue....that is a challenge and that is true, but it is also one challenge I probably would not care too much to take up.
